FAQs

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always request to view a portfolio of actual work done for satisfied clients (if they're new, they'll only provide creative concepts or mock-ups).  If you like the portfolio and the personality, then ask the graphic design hourly rate and estimated hours for the project.  If this suffices, then ask for payment terms and estimated project turnaround time.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Hourly rate and additional charges (like creative concept fees, etc.) as to avoid any hidden fees or pricing surprises.  Again, request to view a portfolio* of work done for satisfied clients.

*Important: when a company presents a design portfolio/creative reel for your viewing, ask if the originating/producing personnel is still hired to work on your project; otherwise, that company cannot guarantee the same results and/or quality you are seeing or possibly liking. Not all creative personnel are created equal and can duplicate each other's work.

A portfolio of work travels with its originating creator.  It doesn't matter when the work was done or who it was commissioned by, you want a "Rembrandt" from "Rembrandt", not a company who will bring someone in to attempt a near-recreation at best.

LAF Productions' Graphic Design Gallery and 3D Animation Reel consist of work created only by current associates to guarantee the strike of creative lightning more than once.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional or company?

A. Hourly rate, additional charges (like creative concept fees, etc.) and terms as to avoid any hidden fees or pricing surprises.  Again, request to view a portfolio of work done for satisfied clients.

Q. What important information should buyers, clients or customers have thought through before seeking LAF Productions out?

A. The most important information buyers should think through prior to seeking us out is how they want to present their image in the marketplace longterm and who is their target audience or market. We have downloadable, fill-in-the-blank Client Forms on our Company Information and Services Overview pages to help you, or for your convenience, click the button below:

LAF Client - Customer Resources

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our work stands out from others because we have an innate ability to listen and understand our clients needs and wants, then translate it creatively to whatever end result they desire in a seamless and expedient process.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. The most important thing to know about anyone going into advertising, marketing and/or creative design, is to separate "passion" projects from "paying" projects.  Perfect your passion projects mostly.  DO NOT hold a client up trying to perfect every nuance of your work; however, don't cheat a client at the same time.  Find a balance and give the most efficient turnaround, not the quickest.

Listen carefully and objectively to what a paying client or customer wants.  Remove any blind spot and or opinion that may delay, harm or prevent project completion.  Your opinion only matters when asked upon.

"I'm extraordinarily patient provided I get my own way in the end."
